MISSION OF THE SOCIETY OF AFRICAN EARTH SCIENTISTS 

1. NAME

The name of the Society is “The Society of African Earth Scientists"

2. OBJECTS

The objects of the Society are for the promotion of African  self-sufficiency in

i.  food, clean water and energy provision
ii. land, soil and water conservation
iii. the monitoring and management of the effects of climatic change

by means of :

a) The exchange and sharing of knowledge, skills and ideas among African scientists on the continent and in the Diaspora

b) The completion of projects on African soil towards achieving the above objects

3. POWERS

The Society has the following powers, which may be exercised only in promoting the

Objects:

3.1 To promote the exchange and sharing of knowledge, skills and ideas among African scientists, in particular, and the general public;

3.2 To conduct conferences, seminars, lectures and workshops that improve public understanding of and raise funds for the society’s ongoing work
